How do I compare quotes on zip-lock bags?
Compare on the same size, the same film thickness and the same material grade — then on pieces per carton and carton dimensions. A cheaper quote is often a thinner film or fewer pieces per bag. We normalise the comparison so the numbers mean the same thing.
What does 'silk' mean in bag thickness?
It is the Chinese trade unit for film thickness — 1 silk = 0.01 mm. So 8 silk is 0.08 mm. Always confirm whether the figure is single-layer or double-layer thickness, because suppliers quote both.
Can the bags be food-contact certified?
Food-grade material is available and documents can be requested from the supplier. Tell us the destination market, because the document that matters differs by country.
