Forklifts & material handling

What should a 2-ton electric forklift quote actually include?

The answer

A usable quote states the capacity, load centre, lift height, mast type and free lift, battery chemistry and capacity, whether the charger is included, the tyre type, the attachments, and the packing. Any quote missing those items cannot be compared with another, because it is not clear what is being priced.

We do not publish prices on this site, because a price without a configuration is not information. What we can describe is what a complete quotation contains, so you can check any quote you receive against it.

A machine quote should name the rated capacity and load centre, the lift height and mast type including whether free lift is provided, the battery chemistry and capacity, whether the charger is included or optional, the tyre type, the carriage class and any attachments, and the packing method. On the commercial side it should state the trade term, the validity period and what is excluded.

When you have quotes from several suppliers, the fastest way to find the real differences is to check each one against that list. Very often the price spread is a specification spread: one quote includes a charger, another does not; one specifies a three-stage mast, another a two-stage. Aligning the specifications before discussing price is what makes the conversation productive.
